British Airways and the French Rémy Cointreau Group have paired up to promote The Botanist Gin in the British Airways Lounge Club at the Heathrow Airport in London. The event was initiated by the French office of G+J International Media Sales.

British Airways operates 54 lounges globally and serves over 571,600 premium customers per month. These lounges provide a relaxed environment and amenities for passengers that are traditionally busy.

For this promotion of The Botanist Gin, an aesthetic bar was set up in the British Airways Club North Lounge in Heathrow, which is the busiest lounge in T5 and welcomes around 110,000 Passengers every month. The bar served to provide a refreshing atmosphere, coupled with three exclusive cocktails created with the gin for passengers to enjoy. An expert bartender freshly mixed the drinks and explained the story of the gin.

This event has shown again how effective lounge promotions are. “The Botanist Gin has never been promoted in such a qualitative way in a premium environment. The client decided to offer loyal customers of the airline a moment of enjoyment to discover the Gin. It is no doubt that this one-of-a-kind experiential was a success: 30 minutes before the bar opened you could see the amount of passengers queuing to taste the exquisite cocktails!” Pauline Conjard, Sale Director of G+J IMS Office in Paris.
