In the competition for the "Website of the Year" awards – Germany’s most important user award for websites - CHEFKOCH.de has been honoured as the most popular website in the category "Media".
228 websites in 19 categories had been nominated this year. In the category "Media", CHEFKOCH.de picked up most of the votes and thus won the award for most popular website. The winners were selected via user voting; from October 5th until November 13th 2015, more than 547,000 votes were cast. In addition, users were able to add their input and opinions about the websites, which were compiled in a "word cloud" for CHEFKOCH.de.
"CHEFKOCH.de is super, great, terrific, clearly structured and simply offers the best recipes – these are the voices of the users who made us the winner", says CHEFKOCH.de Managing Director Sven Giebler. "We are absolutely delighted with this award. It is great confirmation of our intensive work this year and, at the same time, an incentive to further develop CHEFKOCH.de for our users and fans and to expand it into an all-inclusive companion."
A total of 12,336 votes were cast in the "Media" category; 3,205 votes went to CHEFKOCH.de, giving the website first place out of twelve. In particular, the marks for details pleased the CHEFKOCH.de team: the website scored a top result in the "Content" subcategory with 4.81 of 5 points, closely followed by excellent results for "Navigation" (4.51 of 5 points) and "Design" (4.47 of 5 points). In the "Recommendation Behavior" category, CHEFKOCH.de scored 9.26 of 10 points. Sven Giebler: "These are great results. We will do everything we can to keep our users satisfied in the future as well with our consistent customer orientation."
The market research firm Metrixlab organized the selection process for Website of the Year. CHEFKOCH.de is among the award-winners for the sixth time.
