France: New app for young adults!

The French entertainment brand TÉLÉ-LOISIRS is launching a new app on the market: SWITCH. The smartphone app offers the best from the web, TV and from the world of celebrities in a unique, fast and witty format.

Be it videos, GIFs, tweets, Instagram- or Facebook-posts: SWITCH pools unusual news and viral content for the smartphone. In a trice the best from the net can be followed on the iPhone or on Android-devices. Within the app users can switch between news and wipe from left to right to like an item – or not. The whole content can be shared per SMS or via the social networks with friends – especially relevant as SWITCH is addressing a target group of 15 to 25 year olds.

Daniel Daum, publisher of the TV and entertainment brands at Prisma Media: "SWITCH is an app specially developed for smartphone usage that offers unusual viral content and allows users to simply share these with their friends. SWITCH is anchored in a dynamic environment of constant innovation, which is enhanced by the newly created Newsroom TV."

Thierry Masclot, editor-in-chief of Newsroom TV and of TÉLÉ-LOISIRS: "SWITCH is a leisure-time app. With it, users can enjoy themselves for two minutes - or longer. The app is intuitive, proposes short texts as well as pictures and videos, or the best of the social networks to like and share. In short: SWITCH provides viral content with danger of addiction!"

SWITCH was developed by Recatch, a Prisma Media subsidiary.
