For the first time, Gruner + Jahr, IP Deutschland and the RTL Group presented their digital solutions and products jointly.
Around 50,000 visitors, over 1,000 exhibitors and more than 570 international top-speakers convened last week at the dmexco in Cologne. For the first time, Gruner + Jahr, IP Deutschland and the RTL Group presented their digital solutions and products on a joint stand of over 800 square meters.
With an impressive, strong looking joint stand, G+J, IP Deutschland and RTL Group drew the glances of the trade fair visitors. Simultaneously, the joint stand also marked the first appearance of the marketing alliance of G+J e|MS, and IP Deutschland. In addition, the word-of-mouth experts trnd and the native and performance network Ligatus - both subsidiary companies of Gruner + Jahr – were present on the stand. Co-exhibitors on the IP-side were the RTL Group, RTL II, the programmatic platform Spot X and the cross-screen optimizer VideoAmp.
The national and international exhibitors all being part of the Bertelsmann universe impressively demonstrated the country- and cross-media advertising power of the partner network and showed the wide range of digital solutions and technological innovations represented under one roof.
Under the motto "Creativity meets Technology", G+J e|MS presented solutions and products from the fields AdSpecials, native advertising, influencer marketing and programmatic advertising on the stand. These were able to be experienced by visitors in multimedia themed corners. As a Highlight, CHEFKOCH video chef Fabio and STERN voice and “Dschungelcamp” author Micky Beisenherz were cooking together and talked about the latest trends in social media and influencers.
Content was also the subject in the panel of Frank Vogel, representative of the management, and Kay Schneemann, head of Digital Research, in which both presented the latest G+J e|MS study "Wie man Content Marketing richtig macht" (How to do content marketing properly - seven guidelines"). Jonas Thiemann from G+J Digital Innovation talked in the expert discussion “Why 2016 is the global tipping point for the App Economy" the significance of Apps in mobile business. How to innovate and transform the publishing business? Arne Wolter, Chief Digital Officer at G+J discussed this question with Dr. Stephanie Caspar (Welt/N24), Christine Cook (Flipboard), Hayley Romer (The Atlantic) and Dr. Tanja Waldeck (Burda Forward).
At the end of the first day a stand party with all co-exhibitors of the large joint stand was held, with DJ Lexer and a VJ show entertaining around 1,000 guests - including Stephan Schäfer, Anke Schäferkordt and Guillaume de Posch (both RTL Group).
