G+J e|MS, IP Deutschland, smartclip, and, for the first time, SPIEGEL MEDIA pooled their marketing powers to present themselves under the label of the Ad Alliance at a joint booth.
The booth, which was over 800 sqm in size and decorated in the new uniform Ad Alliance look, was an impressive reflection of the strength of the umbrella brand. Ligatus, a network for native advertising and performance marketing, and the international RTL Group were also at the booth.
The focus of the expo booth was on the range of digital marketing possibilities, which has grown considerably and now boasts over 50 new product highlights. For example, the data-supported targeting of ad special and native solutions across all digital channels has been ensuring a unique user experience at G+J e|MS. And the new campaign dashboards use real time reports to meet the growing need of advertisers for maximum insights and comprehensive transparency to ensure the success of their campaigns. Additional highlights also include the next generation native formats, innovative targeting products, and Europe’s largest influencer portfolio, which can be booked programmatically or via the G+J e|MS self-booking tool.
In addition to numerous professional visitors, Dorothee Bär, State minster for Digitalisation, the Mayer of Cologne, Henriette Reker, and RTL Formula 1 expert Nico Rosberg were among the VIP guests at the Ad Alliance booth.
The seminar held by Frank Vogel (Speaker of the Board of G+J e|MS) and Kay Schneemann (G+J e|MS) dealt with the impact of various digital formats. Vogel and Schneemann presented the recent G+J e|MS study “Von Native über digitale AdSpecials zu Influencern und Data – was wirkt wie?” (From native and digital ad specials to influencers and data – what impact does each one have?)
In the “Where are all the dollars gone” panel, Tolgay Azman, editor in chief STERN.de, discussed the challenges publishers face in the age of digitisation with David Fischer (Highsnobiety), Stephanie Caspar (Axel Springer SE), Mike Owen (Flipboard) Chris Taylor (Telegraph), and Steve Webb (Facebook). Anna-Beeke Gretemeier, editor in chief STERN.de/NEON Digital spoke on the “Millennials erreicht man nur in social media! NOT!” (Millennials can only be reached via social media! NOT!) panel with Lucas von Cranach (“Onefootball”) and the YouTuber Lauro “Strikers” about the characteristics and media usage of this generation.
To celebrate the conclusion of the first day of the expo, a booth party was celebrated with all of the co-exhibitors and international guests and partners, including G+J i|MS, to the upbeat sounds of the “Buddy Horn Brass Sensation” marching band.
