NEW “BEEF! Grill & Bar”: G+J diversification at its best

Gruner + Jahr Germany offers large, successful media brands which attract an upscale readership. As part of its diversification strategy, G+J teams up with manufacturers, dealers and service providers to go an extra mile: Together, they develop licensed products and start co-operations for a long-term joint success.

Popular licensed products include GEO books and calendars, BRIGITTE bags, ELTERN games and special travel offers by STERN.  

Last year, the SCHÖNER WOHNEN licensed collection - consisting of paint, wall and textile products - got its “icing on the cake” with its first furniture collection. And last week, the German editorial team of BEEF! celebrated the opening of the “BEEF! Grill & Bar" in Frankfurt.  

"For us, a dream comes true," said BEEF! editor-in-chief Jan Spielhagen in his welcome speech, adding: "We have brought the BEEF! brand to the menu, where our attitude towards food and enjoyment can be experienced, with great drinks and high-quality grilled dishes."

The “BEFF! Grill & Bar" is based on a completely new gastronomic concept, developed by the BEEF! editors in collaboration with Marché Mövenpick. A unique interior inspired by BEEF! optics and seating 130 guests serves high-quality steaks, succulent burgers and grilled vegetables.

In addition to furniture and the restaurant, Gruner + Jahr invests in “eat the world” and e-learning, as well as other initiatives by the BRIGITTE ACADEMY.

G+J’s innovation lab Greenhouse supports internal and external start-up teams and was just ranked one of the top digital labs in Germany.
