G+J IMS is now responsible for the worldwide sales of in-flight advertising space of the GOBP portfolio comprising of 28 airlines, expanding its strong presence within the in-flight sector further. From autumn 2015 onwards, new advertising formats of the airline airberlin will enrich the media portfolio.
By taking over worldwide sales representation of the in-flight advertising sales of Global Onboard Partners (GOBP), G+J International Media Sales (IMS) consistently expands its strong position within the in-flight sector. With airberlin, GOBP makes another renowned airline part of the IMS portfolio, bringing to the mix additional on board advertising formats as an exciting supplementary option to the existing print and ambient media channels.

GOBP is specialised in selling advertising space inside the aircraft cabin. This includes the pasting of meal tray tables or overhead bins. Moreover GOBP sells advertising spaces on boarding passes as well as the full outside pasting on the aircraft. GOBP is the only media company worldwide holding the required certifications to place such kind of out-of-home advertisements in and on passenger aircrafts. The constantly growing portfolio of GOBP includes currently 28 airlines with about 1,500 aircrafts, reaching more than 350 million passengers worldwide.
Through its global sales network, G+J IMS represents already several airlines such as Lufthansa, British Airways and KLM. On-board magazines, lounges, boarding passes and in-flight entertainment programmes are part of the offer. By joining forces with GOBP, IMS can offer many additional advertising possibilities including sampling on board or, in the future, wi-fi-based in-flight entertainment. As of September 2015, Global Onboard Partners and IMS will for the first time offer the possibility of advertising on the folding tables of airberlin, under the eyes of 800,000 passengers per month. airberlin is the first German airline offering advertising space o folding tables.
"With this form of advertising we reach more than 800,000 passengers per month - in German-speaking countries alone. This form of advertising not only builds the brand, but is also ideal for sales-oriented campaigns," explains Christian Szabo, General Manager Global Onboard Partners Europe. "Many global brands such as Hyundai, Ford, Continental, Citibank, UniCredit, Western Union, American Express, O2, Telenor Group, Coca Cola, Marriott and others have already successfully carried out campaigns with us."
