STERN CRIME: Smash Hit at Newsstand

Print

There was enormous interest in the first issue of the German G+J crime magazine STERN CRIME at newsstands: 70,000 copies of the magazine about real crimes were sold over-the-counter; in addition, 5,000 subscriptions have already been signed. The second issue is available in stores since Saturday.

Wibke Bruns, Gruner + Jahr Publisher News, says: "Not only do the excellent sales results show us that STERN CRIME has hit a nerve, but the large crime story fan community also enthusiastically welcomed the magazine; we have received enormous positive feedback via many channels, and we want to continuously expand this success."

In the second issue, an assortment of real criminal cases is again compiled. The cover story reports about four friends who spent a weekend by a lake. One of the most frightening crimes in Scandinavia happened there, and only one of the friends returned from the trip. Next to further exciting stories, bestselling author Jo Nesbø and the world's best identikit drawer are interviewed.

STERN CRIME is published with a print run of 150,000 copies and is available in stores bimonthly at a copy price of €4.80.
