Successful launch of JWD

The first edition of the new G+J men’s magazine JWD was sold 70,000 times – a great success for the new lifestyle magazine.

„Would you buy a magazine from this man? “ This was the question on the cover title of the first edition of the new G+J magazine JWD – with the famous Joko Winterscheidt in the background who is also the name giver of the magazine. The answer is clearly a “Yes!” 70,000 readers bought the magazine and wanted to take part in Joko’s unusual discoveries and adventures. A great success for Gruner + Jahr, who had started the magazine at the end of March. With this first issue, JWD took clearly the lead in the men's lifestyle segment.

The ad closing dates for the two next editions are the 24th of May and the 28th of June. The magazine costs 4.40 euros and appears ten times a year. A full page costs 19.500 €.
