WHY TOGETHER?
As publishers we are facing competition from international networks, that offer highly standardized, easy to buy media solutions with elaborate targeting options. National initiatives like data alliances or booking platforms are only a partial answer to the pan-European or even global offer of these platforms.

The Corona crisis has added pressure. Significant losses in advertising revenues are demanding cost measures from advertisers as well as from publishers. We are running risk to again lose revenues to global competition that offers more efficient solutions.

Our challenges are new and more demanding than ever before. It will require a team effort to tackle the challenges ahead. The current #StopHateforProfit movement and social media boycott opens a window of opportunity for us.

The Corona crisis has also shown how closely linked we are across Europe. Building a network of leading publishers can tie our efforts together and provide valuable orientation to the executives leading their sales teams through this crisis.

How does it work?
The more complex the situation, the less effective are known standard solution patterns, the higher the need for situation specific solutions. As participant in the Executive Circle for European Publishers, you do not have to find these solutions alone. You can develop and discuss answers for your business in your market together with experts from different countries across Europe. You can rely on the collective intelligence of your peers. And you can find orientation in a period that may be the most challenging of your work life.

  • Exclusive Circle: The Executive Circle membership is aimed at Managing Directors, Executive VPs, CROs, CSOs of European publishers. Invitations are personal and not transferable. To ensure an open and trustful exchange, participation is limited to 15 members.
  • The executives in charge of sales across Europe’s publishers come together in regular intervals, for five meetings during the next 12 months.
  • You will be part of a closed peer-group in which you will grow together and be able to share your challenges.
  • For each of the meetings, the participants themselves will decide on the agenda, making sure that the most urgent topics of this group can be addressed.
  • Individual interviews prior to each meeting will help identify the current challenges.
  • Break-out sessions will use the group’s swarm intelligence to find solutions that really fit the problem, at the time they are needed.
  • Each meeting will feature a suitable speaker to provide insight to one of the topics on the agenda.
  • To support a fruitful exchange within the network, all sessions will be moderated by a consultant of osb international. As systemic consultants, osb is an expert in facilitating dynamic group settings and one of Bertelsmann’s and Gruner + Jahr’s preferred partners for executive trainings and leadership development.
  • Events will be virtual, so that you don’t have to travel, and you can better fit them into your schedule.

Membership fee is € 3,500.- (excl. VAT).

Included are five virtual round tables moderated by a consultant of osb international, external speakers and collaboration tools, taking place from 9:00 am to approx. 12:30 p.m. on
