Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to postpone the event from May 14, 2020 to a date after the summer. The exact date and updates on the agenda will be communicated.

The idea behind TOGETHER

One thing we have learned in recent years is that cooperation and building alliances is a key ingredient to the future success. We are all facing similar challenges in our business models and in our advertising sales, where global platforms and networks are taking an increasing share of advertising money.

Many media companies have started national initiatives like quality labels for websites or joint data alliances to better face market developments. At Gruner + Jahr, we think it is time to take this to the next level and start thinking about joint initiatives across European markets.

As part of an exclusive group of up to 30 participants, you will have the opportunity to gain insights into the most recent industry developments and trends. And you will be participating in very hands-on workshops to learn from others and to develop new ideas.

These are some of the topics we will be addressing in keynotes, panels and workshops at TOGETHER:

  • What can traditional publishers offer across multiple countries that the GAFA cannot?
    (Working in small groups on a real-life briefing presented by HAVAS)
  • How do we lead sales organizations through VUCA times? How does our role as managers change? How do we attract talent?
  • Training of sales staff: how to keep up with knowledge about changing markets and evolving competition.
  • The best organizational set-up for a sales organization in the given market environments.
  • The Ad Alliance and the Content Alliance in Germany, how Gruner + Jahr benefits from joining strong alliances in its home market.
  • Customization in our offers is increasing business complexity. Is there a new opportunity for standardized, scalable offers?
  • How does Google's announcement to drop third party cookies affect publishers and what opportunities does it offer?
  • Best practice showcase: existing successful partnerships in European markets like Gravity and Ozone (for data) or Digital Ad Trust (for website quality certification)

In addition, the event offers you the opportunity to create a personal network with your peers across Europe and openly discuss challenges in an intimate and trustful atmosphere.

Where is it all happening and when?

To cover the cost for speakers, workshops and organization, we are charging a participation fee:

  • Participation Only - 900 Euro* per Person
  • Participation including Hotel (one night) – 990 Euro* per Person
  • Participation including Hotel (two nights) – 1080 Euro* per Person

Our get-together dinner on the previous evening and catering on the main event day are included in this fee.

How to register

Participation is for invited guests only and limited to 30 attendees. Please make sure to reserve your spot right away. You find our registration page at the link provided in your invitation. You can also reserve a hotel room together with signing up for the event.

After you completed your registration, we will charge the participation fee.
