SCHÖNER WOHNEN launches own online shop

Gruner + Jahr consolidates market leadership in the lifestyle magazine segment by providing its SCHÖNER WOHNEN brand with its own e-commerce platform.

SCHÖNER WOHNEN magazine launched its own online shop at shop.schoener-wohnen.de. Epitomizing good taste, Europe‘s biggest living and lifestyle magazine has been trusted by its readers for 50 years. In addition to providing inspiration and advice for stylish living ideas in print and digital media, SCHÖNER WOHNEN now expands its range of services with its own online shop where users can purchase home accessories and smaller items of furniture.

By launching the SCHÖNER WOHNEN online shop, Gruner + Jahr expands its market leadership in the lifestyle magazine segment even further: "The market within the living and lifestyle magazine segment is highly competitive. Significant purely e-commerce players are increasingly expanding their range of services with extra content. By transforming our core business and introducing the SCHÖNER WOHNEN online shop to accompany our target group throughout the customer journey, we aim at consolidating our market leadership. The SCHÖNER WOHNEN online shop distinguishes itself by the unique selection, composition and presentation of its product range: All products are carefully selected and recommended by the SCHÖNER WOHNEN experts as well as guest curators. With exclusive photo productions for the shop which are accompanied by editorial content such as styling tips, both home accessories and decorative objects are presented in the so-called “looks” section featuring inspiring style collections and imagery.

Young and trendy Scandinavian brands such as ferm Living, &tradition or Hay rub shoulders with long-established companies including Georg Jensen, Iittala, and Alessi. The SCHÖNER WOHNEN experts present carefully selected design classics alongside exciting new discoveries and products by big name brands to provide customers with the perfect mix of accessories and furniture for their homes. The existing SCHÖNER-WOHNEN collections of wallpapers, fabrics, and carpets, among other items, will also be available in the online shop soon.
