The high demand for information and long times staying at home are not only increasing digital media use, but also that of magazines. Especially in the food retail sector, sales of G+J magazines have risen by around ten percent since the beginning of the crisis. This applies, for example, to STERN with its issue 13/2020 (title: "Corona. 2020. Everything will be different"). GALA is also very sought. Apparently there is also a high demand for lean-back titles: GEO Wissen Gesundheit (Health), issue 13/2020 (yoga, meditation) is currently around 30 percent above its sales curves from last year.
The number of magazine subscriptions has also been rising significantly for several days now. The success rates for telephone new customer acquisition rose by 120 percent for STERN, 90 percent for BRIGITTE and 33 percent for GEOLINO. Access figures to the subscription shops of all G+J titles have risen sharply in recent days.
